「書寫以見證時代」，說得瑰麗堂皇，實則是否巧言令色？1946年，萊維在給薩繆爾的信中寫：「我們是見證者，我們承載其重」；保羅策蘭則在詩中寫：「沒有人為見證者做證」。香港作家阮文略游走在疫後的香港、日本與巴黎之間，以《生態演替》一書向集體與個人的記憶回溯，到頭來，愈是密集書寫的人，愈是懷疑文字，卻騎虎而不下。
