這幾年全球經濟下滑、通脹重臨，各地都要面對失業和生活費昂貴的雙重打擊。而香港因着世界政經形勢大變，出口美國和西方的產業收縮，再加上人口向外移民和對內去大陸購物生活，令香港商界和普通市民都不容易安排個人事業和公司業務發展，自然感到前景不明。
美國總統特朗普上任後，宣布對全球實施對等關稅政策，此舉不僅引發國際金融市場震動，長遠來說也導致全球供應鏈成本上升，部分跨國企業可能逐步調整全球供應鏈的實體安排和定價策略，這自然影響香港市場。關稅戰可能導致全球經濟增長放緩，香港的轉口貿易、物流、金融服務等支柱產業都會受到衝擊。
市民在職涯發展、創業、樓價變化、住屋需求、人才配對、通貨膨脹、消費娛樂、垮境退休、垮境生活等議題上有障礙，自然期望政府有相應政策和措施來對社會各界作出扶助。
社會的大規模轉變亦令到大家更關注醫療保障、地區規劃、交通開支、工作穩定性、退休保障、創業環境轉變、香港整體經濟活力、通脹消費等事項對自身、家庭和社區的影響。
本年2月尾香港財政司司長陳茂波宣布了財政預算案2025，立法會剛已通過，但社會各界都會繼續積極討論如何改善民生，為香港發展加添活力出謀獻策，建議持續有來。

– 各社會服務和社會創新單位又可怎樣調整服務和發揮創意去支援市民?
– 民間智庫和研究者又可從多方角度看到甚麼可繼續改善之處、好在來年讓財政司長準備得更好?
民間各界專家朋友因而相聚，盼共同商量，建議可改善、推動、轉化香港之處，讓各方參詳，引發更多更深入之討論、方案和行動。
