【思考：反抗的憂鬱 —— 本雅明與當代世界】
在動盪不居的當代世界，我們面對靈性修養的匱乏、政治環境的陰霾、技術發展的不安，似乎無法避免陷入憂鬱 (melancholy) 。然而，如果憂鬱並不流於被動的、頹廢的，甚至是絕望或瘋狂的情緒狀態，而是能夠作為讓思考得以澄明湧現的獨特裝置，我們可以從中萃取怎樣的激進反抗力量？在這次講座中，勞緯洛將為參與者介紹德國哲學家本雅明 (Walter Benjamin) 關於憂鬱的思考。以憂鬱之名，本雅明採掘古希臘、中世紀、基督教、卡巴拉、巴洛克及浪漫派等多重資源，匯聚出特屬二十世紀初的思想星叢，在他思想發展到後期，更由此展現了甚具政治批判意味的洞見。
而處身靈性、政治與技術的境況俱已發生轉折的二十一世紀，我們亦應重新詢問：本雅明的憂鬱理論，是否仍具效力？反過來，什麼才是我們世代的憂鬱？憂鬱如何作為思想裝置，繼而引導出實際的身體修養？藝術作品可以怎樣捕捉當代的憂鬱，又應展現人生的何種有限與荒涼，歷史的何種敗壞與無常？憂鬱到底是政治行動的阻力，還是推動力？憂鬱與救贖的關係是什麼？⋯⋯挪借今年諾貝爾文學獎得主，卡撒茲納霍凱 (László Krasznahorkai) 的著作《反抗的憂鬱》 (The Melancholy of Resistance) 為題，勞緯洛將和參與者一起討論：憂鬱者，如何思考，怎樣反抗。
