Dr. David Chung
Under Secretary, Innovation and Technology Bureau, HKSAR Government
Dr Chung is the Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology, assisting the Secretary for Innovation and Technology in strengthening the cooperation with the industry, academia and the research sector, fostering development of innovation and technology to promote development of high-end manufacturing industry as well as enhancing nurture of innovation and technology talents with an aim to create a vibrant ecosystem for innovation and technology. He has almost 30 years of experience in information technology strategic management and entrepreneurship development. Dr Chung worked as Chief Technology Officer at Cyberport Management Company Limited, responsible for taking forward its core mission on IT infrastructure, industry collaboration and incubation platforms for IT entrepreneurs. He also assisted in setting up the first Micro Fund Scheme in HK for young information and communications technology entrepreneurs. Dr Chung was a winner of the “China Top 5 CIO Award” in 2013.

Founder & CEO of Future Impact Lab, gathered few like-minds from Google and HP to start a Data- and Design- oriented business using IoT to solve commercial, social, and humanity issues. Prior to that, Ernest founded an R&D arm in Hong Kong for a European Telecom R&D Institution working on Smart City projects.
Ernest was a Croucher Postdoc Fellow at Stanford University. He is the President of the Hong Kong Internet of Things Alliance, and Awardee of 3 IEEE Best Paper Awards from USA and Europe. He was the Advisor of 2015 Global Urban Datafest Hackathon (Shenzhen Chapter), Liaison Chair of 2014 European Wireless Conference, Chairman of 2014 Future Cities Asia Conference, etc.

CEO & Co-founder of Printact and 42Lab
Dr. Data Ng is an experimental Physics Ph.D at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is a maker, biohacker and electronic hacker. Since Data acquired his first DIY reprap 3D printer in 2010, he has been practicing 3D printing. As an advocate for digital fabrication, Data founded Printact to promote 3D Printing to the public. In 2016, he founded a biotech startup – 42Lab which is a portable biotech lab.
Data is also active in the entrepreneurship community and hosted several entrepreneurship events, including Startup Weekends HKU, Startup Weekend HK Maker and Hackathons – AngelHack@HKU. He was invited to share his start-up experience at HKU, Fudan University, TEDxCUHK, Qianhai Houde Incubator and HKFYG.
Data also holds a BSc. with majors in Physics and Finance, and a minor in Astronomy from HKU.

Matthew Tam is the Executive Officer and Co-founder of Social Career, an information technology based non-profit organisation. With funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Social Career is building a new platform that encourages the general public to volunteer and get involved in social causes and service activities.
Matthew is also the CEO and Co-founder of Around, a technology startup focusing on building a neighbourhood network in combination with a home concierge service. The goal is to connect people with their neighbours and to offer new on-demand services such as elderly escort and others. The startup won several awards including the Google EYE program and the HK ICT award.
Prior to co-founding Around, Matthew held several positions with major European and US investment banks and he has a Masters degree in Industrial Management and Manufacturing with focus in Technology and Innovation Management from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland.

Mr. Yip serves as the Chairman of the Board and co-founder of Guru Online (Holdings) Limited, a publicly listed Internet company in Hong Kong. Guru Online inspires to digitalize traditional business by leveraging creativity and innovation, revolutionizing current market situation. The company thrives as a forerunning powerhouse with collective wisdoms from hundreds of Internet specialists.
Started from 2007, Mr. Yip has founded Guru Online to launch a high-growth online marketing platform that enables brands to reach diverse customers. Guru Online is also one of the pioneer companies in Asia to leverage social media platforms in business. Headquartered in Hong Kong, with branches in Beijing and Guangzhou, Guru Online has worked with dozens of Fortune 500 companies. With Mr. Yip’s remarkable management and leadership skill, Guru Online has successfully evolved into a regional enterprise publicly listed in Hong Kong in 2015. Guru Online has recently invested and started incubating Internet startups in selected high growth potential sectors of several traditional industries.
Prior to the foundation of Guru Online, Mr. Yip worked at Procter & Gamble Hong Kong Ltd. (P&G), the world’s largest multinational consumer goods company. He has devised shopper and retail marketing strategies for international FMCG brands. During his duty as the Regional Marketing Director of La Souhait Cosmetics Group, Mr. Yip has successfully led the team in delivering effective business portfolio strategies, brand management and initiatives.
Mr. Yip graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong; he has also studied the Entrepreneur CEO program at The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

Raymond has managed product design and engineering for Fortune 500 companies between the U.S. and Asia during an extensive career in technology. Raymond is also a UI/UX designer. He has launched a multitude of products including e-commerce, web/mobile apps, social network and Facebook applications in the past. Most recently, he was a Co-founder and CEO of Shopline, a localised e-commerce company based in Hong Kong.
