Don’t miss 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Week China – Hong Kong in Cyberport

Cyberport will, in November, host the 2014 Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) China – Hong Kong, a renowned industry event that partners entrepreneurs and industry leaders to drive global innovation and collaboration.

Through a series of events from keynote speeches to panel discussions, pitching sessions and networking opportunities, the one week event from November 18 to 23 aims to expand the growing ICT start-up ecosystem around the world by allowing creative entrepreneurs to explore their potential while networking with interested investors and mentors.

The week will kick off with keynote speeches by Mr. Jeff Hoffman at the International Advisory Boards of GEW, the Kauffman Foundation, on the keys to success for entrepreneurs and Mr. Canice Wu, partner at F50 about angels’ insight on start-ups’ results.

Other topics to be discussed include the start-up ecosystem in the Greater China region, how to manage investors after seed funding has been secured and how companies can accelerate to the next round of funding.

Nominated Cyberport technology start-ups will have the chance to present to a panel of angel investors with the top three start-ups to be awarded with the opportunity to pitch at Battle Silicon, and prizes from Cyberport and partners.

The week will conclude on November 21 with the iStartup@HK Video-Pitch Contest Finale with the results announced and prizes awarded to winners of the top ten video pitching teams.

“We are delighted to be organizing GEW again.   A key event for the ICT industry, the GEW Hong Kong Chapter presents a broad and diverse range of opportunities that start-ups cannot afford to miss,” said Herman Lam, CEO of Cyberport.
